Provincial education authorities in the Tanger–Tetouan–Al Hoceïma region have decided to maintain the suspension of classes in public and private schools due to ongoing weather disruptions.

Classes are suspended on February 9 in the prefectures of Tangier–Asilah and M’diq–Fnideq, as well as in the provinces of Ouezzane and Fahs–Anjra. In Tetouan and Chefchaouen, the suspension will remain in effect on both February 9 and 10.

In Larache province, in-person classes have been suspended starting Monday, with schools in the municipality of Ksar El Kebir shifting to remote learning until further notice.

In Al Hoceïma province, in-person classes will resume in several communes, while classes will remain suspended on February 9 in schools located in the rest of the province.

Authorities said the decisions were taken in line with weather alerts issued by the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) and will be updated based on weather conditions.
