Strong gusts of wind, accompanied by sandstorms and dust storms, are forecasted to hit several Moroccan provinces from Thursday through Friday, according to an announcement by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
The DGM reports that intense wind gusts, reaching speeds of 90 to 100 km/h and accompanied by sandstorms, are expected from 9:00 AM on Thursday until 9:00 AM on Friday. The affected provinces include Chtouka-Ait Baha, Taroudant, Tiznit, Tata, Agadir Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Guelmim, and Sidi Ifni, as outlined in an orange-level weather alert.
Furthermore, the DGM warns of strong wind gusts, ranging from 80 to 90 km/h, coupled with dust storms on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. These conditions are expected to impact the provinces of Chichaoua, Al Haouz, and Ouarzazate.
