In Berrechid, near Casablanca, a remarkable venture is taking shape. Tunamax SARL, one of Morocco's most ambitious tuna processing plants, has partnered with Gaictech, a global leader in industrial solutions, to construct and equip its entire production line.
«The production line encompasses the entire process, from receiving frozen tuna to delivering the finished, palletized cans», states Abdellah Bouja, co-owner and CEO of Tunamax. With each phase—thawing, cooking, cleaning, filling, sterilizing, and labeling—automated, the factory ensures unwavering consistency, food safety, and quality. Capable of processing 15,000 tons of tuna annually and producing over 50 million cans, it stands as one of the largest canneries in the nation.
The thoughtful design of the facility, tailored to optimize production flow and adhere to both local and international standards, was crucial. «Gaictech delivered more than just machines; they provided a comprehensive industrial solution», Bouja highlights. With technical support, adaptable production lines, and real-time monitoring, the factory achieved rapid stabilization and optimized performance.
The benefits extend beyond mere production: improved workflow, minimized unnecessary handling, and ergonomic designs that ease operator adaptation. For Tunamax, this facility is strategically vital, enabling the company to cater to both domestic and international markets with products that meet the highest international standards.
