The Finnish government has announced that Sari Essayah, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, will be visiting Morocco from March 24 to 27, 2026.
This visit aims to bolster bilateral ties and promote trade with Morocco, focusing on forestry expertise and water management. Minister Essayah will be joined by a delegation of business leaders specializing in these sectors.
According to the announcement, during her stay, Minister Essayah is scheduled to meet with key Moroccan officials, including those overseeing agriculture, forestry, and water resources. The agenda features events organized by the National Agency for Water and Forests and discussions on advancing cooperation in scientific research.
Morocco has expressed interest in Finland's sustainable and innovative forestry practices, along with its robust capabilities in the water sector.
Minister Essayah remarked, «Morocco represents a promising and vital market for the expansion of our wood industry, and there are vast opportunities for collaboration in water expertise. Through this visit, we aim to enhance Finland's standing as a leader in sustainable and innovative bioeconomy solutions. I hope this trip will pave the way for new partnership opportunities.»
