Mbappé turns to Morocco national team doctor after Real Madrid fallout

Kylian Mbappé has reportedly asked Real Madrid to be treated by the doctor of Morocco’s national team, amid a breakdown in trust with the club’s medical staff.

According to L’Équipe, the French forward made the request to club president Florentino Pérez after an MRI mix-up involving the wrong knee. He then traveled to Paris on March 2, where knee surgeon and sports medicine specialist Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet confirmed his injury.

Mbappé has since chosen to be monitored by Christophe Baudot, now the doctor of Morocco’s national team, with whom he has established a treatment plan. Baudot notably oversaw Achraf Hakimi’s recovery after his ankle injury against Bayern Munich.
