General Berrid discusses military cooperation with Mauritanian President in Nouakchott

General Mohammed Berrid, the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the Southern Zone, held talks with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani on Tuesday evening, as reported by the official news agency.

Also present at this meeting were the Chief of Staff of the Mauritanian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Fall Ould Raïs, and Morocco's ambassador to Mauritania, Hamid Chabar.

Earlier in the day, General Berrid engaged in a working session with Lieutenant General Mohamed Fall Ould Raïs. This session was dedicated to "assessing the joint activities of the past year, planning and overseeing initiatives for the current year, and exploring new opportunities to enhance bilateral military cooperation between the two nations," according to a statement from the Mauritanian army.

General Berrid has been in Nouakchott since Monday.
