Al Hoceima court sentences wife for expelling husband from marital home

A court of first instance in Al Hoceima has convicted a woman of expelling her husband from the marital home, sentencing her to a two-month suspended prison term and a financial fine. The ruling followed a complaint filed by the husband with the public prosecutor.

According to local sources, the husband accused his wife of forcing him out of the home and refusing to let him return. After reviewing the case, the court upheld the charges and found the defendant guilty.

The court also ordered her to pay 2,000 dirhams in compensation to her husband and to cover the legal costs, without enforcement measures.
