Young girl dies after falling into uncovered well near Tetouan

A young girl tragically lost her life on Tuesday night after falling into an uncovered well near Tetouan, according to local sources.

Upon being alerted, Civil Protection units and the Royal Gendarmerie, supported by auxiliary forces and local authorities, rushed to the scene. Rescue teams worked to recover the victim’s body from the bottom of the well.

The body was transferred to the morgue at Saniat Rmel Regional Hospital in Tetouan to complete the necessary procedures.

The Royal Gendarmerie has opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the circumstances of the incident.
