Casablanca court prosecutes 22 for riots after Wydad vs Ittihad match

In Casablanca, judicial authorities have incarcerated 22 individuals following a decision by the public prosecutor at the criminal court to charge them in connection with the riots that erupted after the match between Wydad Athletic Club and Ittihad Yacoub El Mansour. The game took place at the Mohammed V Complex on April 29.

Simultaneously, the public prosecutor has called for the juvenile judge to assign 20 minors to a rehabilitation center, as they are suspected of participating in the disturbances linked to the match.

This match, part of the 17th round of the professional league, was marred by violence and vandalism. Some of these incidents were captured in photos and videos that quickly circulated on social media platforms.

Ittihad Yacoub El Mansour emerged victorious in the match, defeating Wydad Athletic Club with a score of two goals to one.
