King Mohammed VI has appointed Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan as Coordinator of the Offices and Services of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, according to a communiqué from the Royal Cabinet issued on Saturday.
The statement recalls that the King himself held this role as Crown Prince starting in 1985, following his appointment by his father, the late King Hassan II.
It further notes that the Royal Armed Forces, under the leadership of the King as Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff, carry out their national, humanitarian, and social missions based on core values including competence, discipline, integrity, commitment, sincere patriotism, and a strong sense of responsibility, while remaining faithful to their motto: “God, the Homeland, the King.”
