King Mohammed VI has urged Moroccan pilgrims to be worthy representatives of their country and its long-standing civilization, embodying the noble values of Islam, righteousness, respect for others, solidarity, and sincere faith.
In a message addressed on Monday to Moroccan pilgrims preparing to travel to the Holy Sites for the year 1447 H, the sovereign stressed that this civilization is «founded on unity, harmony, and attachment to the constants and sacred values of the Moroccan nation, built on the principles of moderation and doctrinal unity».
«Be good ambassadors of your country by reflecting its radiant image, and know that these constants and enduring values are what have ensured the security and stability of our country, enabling it to continue, under Our enlightened leadership, its steady path toward greater progress and prosperity», the king added in the message, which was read by the Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, during the departure of the first group of pilgrims from Rabat-Salé airport.
The sovereign also noted that he had instructed the minister to ensure the proper management of all organizational and logistical aspects of the pilgrimage, as well as those related to religious guidance and awareness. He further called on pilgrims to comply with the measures put in place to guarantee optimal conditions during their travel and stay.
To this end, the ministry has deployed multidisciplinary teams to the Holy Sites to assist pilgrims throughout their journey, both outbound and on their return. These teams include scholars, religious guides, doctors, nurses, both men and women, as well as administrative staff.
Finally, the king reminded pilgrims of the importance of respecting the regulations set by the Saudi authorities.
