Plastima Group opens new FlowPipe unit in Mohammedia
DR

On Monday, the Plastima Group celebrated the grand opening of its new FlowPipe industrial unit at the Ech-Chellalate site in Mohammedia. This state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to the production of fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP) pipes, with a primary focus on supporting Morocco’s major hydraulic projects.

The inauguration was graced by the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, underscoring a significant milestone in the group's industrial journey. With an investment of 52 million dirhams (MDH), this development is part of an agreement signed with the government in December 2024, signaling a new chapter for the industry.

This new unit is set to create 83 stable jobs, bolstering national industrial capabilities and propelling the momentum for import substitution in the strategic technical arena of hydraulic infrastructure.

FlowPipe is launching with an initial production capacity of approximately 200 kilometers of pipes annually, with plans to ramp up in the coming months. This initiative aims to establish a robust local industrial supply chain to meet the escalating demands of water networks, irrigation, and the kingdom's major infrastructural projects.

The unit's offerings include solutions for pipes with diameters of up to 3 meters, pressure resistance of up to 32 bars, and a stiffness class exceeding 20,000 N/m², effectively catering to the needs of large-scale hydraulic endeavors.

This project emerges amidst a wave of intensified investments in water infrastructure, largely driven by the National Program for Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation. This program is channeling substantial resources to ensure the long-term sustainability of Morocco's water resources.
