Specialized search and rescue units of the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces (FAR) have been mobilized day and night since May 2 to locate two American soldiers reported missing while participating in the African Lion military exercise, according to official FAR sources.
Several specialized FAR units, including the Royal Gendarmerie, the Royal Navy, the Atlas Hunters, and military engineering units, have deployed significant land, air, and maritime resources as part of ongoing search operations near a cliff in Cap Draa, in the Tan-Tan region, where the two soldiers disappeared.
Royal Navy divers have also been conducting searches inside caves located around Cap Draa, the same source added.
