On the morning of Wednesday, May 6, police at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca arrested two women from a sub-Saharan African country after they were found in possession of a large quantity of cocaine weighing 14 kilograms and 800 grams.
According to available information, the two suspects, aged 40 and 52, were detained immediately upon arriving on a flight from a sub-Saharan African airport. Customs inspections and security checks led to the discovery of the cocaine shipment concealed inside their personal belongings.
A judicial investigation has since been launched by the judicial police unit operating at Mohammed V Airport under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor. Investigators are seeking to determine all criminal acts linked to the suspects, uncover the full circumstances of the case, and identify any possible international connections to the trafficking network.
