The Moroccan polo team has spectacularly clinched a spot in the final of the 6th Mohammed VI International Polo Trophy, decisively defeating the Portuguese team 9-4 this Thursday at the PGH La Palmeraie Polo Club in Assilah.
Against a Portuguese side renowned for its strength and competitive spirit, the Moroccan players showcased exceptional skill and efficiency, swiftly pulling ahead to secure a well-earned victory.
Following the match, Moroccan polo player Taissir Kadiri lauded the team's collective performance, highlighting their focus as they prepare for the final showdown against the United States.
Portuguese player Tiago Gallego, on the other hand, conceded the Moroccan team's superiority, noting that his squad fought hard until the very end.
Earlier in the day, the United States triumphed over Saudi Arabia with a score of 11 to 5.5, earning their place in the final against Morocco.
In matches earlier this week, Morocco emerged victorious in their opener against Hungary, winning 8 to 6.5, while the United States dominated France with a 10-6 victory.
This prestigious international event, organized by the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation (FRMP) under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, features six polo teams competing at the highest level.
