Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) announced on Wednesday that it had received a double Top Tier 1 distinction in Business Administration and Engineering, according to the Top Schools in Morocco ranking published by Campus Education.
In a statement, the university said it is the only public university in Morocco to earn this distinction in both fields at the same time, further strengthening its position among the country’s top-performing academic institutions.
The statement noted that the recognition highlights not only the quality of the university’s teaching and its educational innovation, but also the «strong confidence» employers place in Al Akhawayn University graduates, who are recognized for their academic excellence, professional agility and ability to thrive in complex, international environments.
The distinction also reflects the university’s «constant commitment» to training aligned with international standards, combining academic rigor, global openness, innovation and leadership development.
Through its schools of Business Administration and Engineering, the university trains graduates equipped to meet the economic, technological and societal challenges facing Morocco and beyond, the same source added.
Quoted in the statement, Al Akhawayn University Vice President for Academic Affairs Hariclea Zengos said the distinction reinforces «the university’s mission to train responsible, innovative leaders with a global outlook».
The university also stressed that this achievement is the result of the collective commitment of its students, faculty, administrative teams, alumni, and academic and industry partners, all of whom contribute to the institution’s growing influence.
