Morocco to face Senegal in U17 Afcon semi final in Rabat

Morocco’s U17 national football team will face Senegal on Thursday at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in the age category, which continues in Morocco until June 2.

The Moroccan side booked its place in the last four after defeating Cameroon 1-0 in the quarter-finals, played on Pitch No. 8 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé.

Senegal, for its part, secured a semi-final berth by beating Mali on penalties (4-2). Tanzania has also qualified for the semi-finals of the competition after overcoming Algeria 4-3 on penalties, following a 3-3 draw in regulation time.

In the other semi-final, Tanzania will take on Egypt, who reached this stage of the tournament with a 4-1 victory over Côte d’Ivoire.
