Moroccan footballer Bilal El Khannouss has completed a permanent move to VfB Stuttgart after the German club activated the clause included in his loan agreement from Leicester City, the club announced on Monday.
Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth praised the Moroccan international’s performances, saying El Khannouss had «delivered convincing performances in all competitions» while also establishing himself as «a central figure» in Morocco’s national team despite his young age.
Born in Strombeek-Bever in Belgium, El Khannouss began his youth career at RSC Anderlecht before joining KRC Genk, where he made his professional debut in 2022. He later moved to Leicester City in 2024 before joining Stuttgart on loan.
With Stuttgart, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder made 41 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.
The Moroccan international has made 35 appearances for the Morocco national football team, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
