Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi returned to full-team training on Tuesday afternoon, four days before the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30.

After two days off granted to the reigning European champions, a behind-closed-doors training session was held on Tuesday at PSG’s Campus in Poissy, with the Moroccan international taking part, according to the club.

Hakimi picked up a thigh injury in the dying moments of the 5-4 win over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the semi-final on April 28. He has not played in a competitive match since but has been training intensively away from the group.

The session marks the start of the final stretch for the Paris squad ahead of the eagerly awaited Champions League final against Arsenal next Saturday. Luis Enrique’s players are due to fly to Budapest on Friday morning, according to French media reports.

Another key PSG player, forward Ousmane Dembélé, has also returned to group training after around ten days out. The France international suffered a calf problem during the final Ligue 1 match of the season, against Paris FC on May 17.

According to sports daily L’Équipe, Hakimi and Dembélé «should be 100% ready and are now in contention for a place in Luis Enrique’s starting XI».
