The Spanish news agency EFE reported that a group of nine migrants managed to enter the city of Ceuta irregularly late yesterday, either by climbing over the double border fence or by swimming along the maritime border barriers.
The same source added that six migrants entered through an unspecified point along the 8.2-kilometer land border, without being detected by surveillance cameras installed in the area, while three others managed to swim across.
The migrants, who are from Morocco, Algeria and Sudan, were in good health. They took advantage of dense fog that reduced visibility, making it easier for them to reach the city.
It is worth noting that, only days earlier, eight other migrants had managed to enter Ceuta by taking advantage of the Eid al-Adha celebrations; some reached the city by swimming, while others crossed the border fence.
