Mawazine has announced a new series of performances for its 2026 edition, featuring leading names from Moroccan chaâbi music alongside international artists set to perform at the Chellah venue.

The Salé stage will welcome several major figures of Moroccan popular music. Statia, one of the leading female voices of chaâbi, will perform on June 21. The Settat-born singer is known for hits such as Hbibi Zahouani, Wlah Ma Nesmahlou and Bye Bye A Mon Amour.

Abdellah Daoudi will take the stage on June 23. The Casablanca-born singer, composer and violinist has built a career spanning more than 100 songs and remains one of the best-known figures of traditional Moroccan popular music.

Another chaâbi heavyweight, Stati, is scheduled to perform on June 25. Active since the 1980s, the artist is renowned for his mastery of the violin and his energetic stage performances, both in Morocco and among the diaspora.

The series of concerts in Salé will conclude on June 26 with Saida Charaf. Originally from Laâyoune, she is one of the most recognized voices of Hassani music, blending Saharan, Amazigh and popular Moroccan influences.

The historic Chellah venue will meanwhile host two international acts. On June 22, Franco-Greek artist Mélina will bring her blend of Mediterranean, Balkan, Eastern and contemporary influences. Singer, oud player and composer, she is known for a neo-traditional style that bridges heritage and modern creation.

On June 23, Portuguese singer-songwriter Susana Travassos and accordionist João Frade will perform at Chellah. Travassos has built an international career drawing on fado, Brazilian popular music, tango, Latin American influences and jazz, creating a repertoire shaped by cultural dialogue across the Lusophone world.
