The 25th edition of the Hassan II Tbourida Trophy, Morocco’s championship of traditional equestrian arts, will be held in Rabat from June 15 to 21, the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE) announced.
Hosted at the Dar Es Salam complex, the competition will bring together 24 sorbas from across the Kingdom, including 18 senior teams and six junior teams that qualified through regional competitions.
The tournament will be held in two phases. Qualifying rounds are scheduled from June 15 to 18, while the finals will take place on June 20 and 21. The final stage will feature the 10 best senior sorbas and the five best junior sorbas competing for the national title.
Recognized by UNESCO since 2021 as part of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Tbourida is one of Morocco’s most emblematic traditions and remains deeply rooted in the country’s equestrian heritage.
Throughout the week, spectators will be able to watch troupes from different regions showcase their precision, synchronization and horsemanship. Admission to the event will be free.
