Police in Rabat arrested a 40-year-old man with a prior criminal record late on Thursday, June 4, on suspicion of public intoxication, unlawful confinement, and the sexual assault of a child.
According to preliminary findings, the suspect was heavily intoxicated when he was caught inside his home allegedly luring, detaining, and sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl.
