American comedian and television host Conan O'Brien has wrapped filming in Morocco for the third season of his HBO Max travel series Conan O’Brien Must Go.
O’Brien announced the end of the shoot in a social media post, Saturday, showing himself and his longtime assistant, Sona Movsesian, riding camels. «Sona and I are taking Ubers back to the airport. Farewell, Morocco!» he wrote.
According to José Arroyo, a writer on the show, the crew filmed in Casablanca, areas east of the city, and Marrakech.
Morocco was the final stop in the filming of Season 3, after shoots in India, the Philippines and the Netherlands.
The Morocco episode is expected to draw on O’Brien’s interactions with several Moroccan listeners featured on his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan. In previous episodes, fans from Casablanca and Marrakech invited the comedian to discover the country, including its famous hammams and the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
HBO Max has not yet announced a release date for the third season.
