Morocco international Ayyoub Bouaddi, 18, has attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs following an impressive performance in the Atlas Lions' 1-1 draw with Brazil in their opening Group C match at the 2026 World Cup.
According to Britain's The Times, Arsenal have already begun preliminary talks over a potential move for the Lille midfielder.
Citing multiple sources, the newspaper reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified the young Moroccan as one of his priority targets for the summer transfer window, with the London club having already made contact with the player's representatives.
French outlet Foot Mercato has also linked Bouaddi with Paris Saint-Germain, while Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to New York specifically to monitor his performance. Other reports suggest that Real Madrid are preparing an offer that could reach €60 million for the highly rated midfielder.
Amid growing speculation over his future, Lille president Olivier Létang made the club's position clear in comments to RMC Sport on Monday, insisting that «Ayyoub Bouaddi is not for sale».
He added that a transfer would only be considered in the event of an «exceptional» offer, without specifying an amount. Asked whether €50 million would be enough, Létang replied bluntly: «No, that is not sufficient».
According to Sport.fr, Lille would only consider opening negotiations if an offer exceeds €80 million. Bouaddi is under contract with the French club until 2029 after completing his first full season in the senior team.
Speaking after Morocco's draw with Brazil, the teenager remained focused on the World Cup rather than transfer speculation.
«I am very happy to know that some clubs are interested in me», Bouaddi said. «But right now, I am focused only on the World Cup, and we will do everything we can to achieve the best possible result in the tournament».
