Textile industry trade fair Morocco Stitch & Tex 2026 will take place from June 23 to 25 in Casablanca under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Textile and Apparel Industries (AMITH).
Held at the Casablanca International Fairgrounds (former OFEC), the event aims to support the modernization and competitiveness of Morocco's textile sector by bringing together industrialists, investors, technology suppliers, international buyers and institutional stakeholders, reads a press release.
The 19th edition of the fair will showcase the latest technologies and innovations in the sector, offering professionals opportunities to identify new partners and explore solutions to modernize production processes.
Organized alongside Morocco Print Expo, the event will host more than 120 exhibitors from eight countries and is expected to attract over 5,000 professional visitors, reinforcing Morocco's position as a regional hub for industrial development, innovation and investment.
A key pillar of the Moroccan economy, the textile and apparel industry comprises more than 1,600 companies and employs nearly 200,000 people, while remaining a major contributor to the kingdom's exports, particularly to European markets. Organizers note, however, that several strategic segments, including yarns, fabrics, technical textiles, machinery and industrial equipment, still rely heavily on imports, highlighting the need to strengthen local industrial integration.
Organizers say the fair is intended to contribute to the emergence of a more integrated, resilient and value-added Moroccan textile industry while supporting the kingdom's ambitions as a competitive manufacturing platform in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
