Safran Aerosystems Maroc on Thursday inaugurated a 5,000-square-meter expansion of its industrial site in Tiflet, backed by an investment of 137 million dirhams that is expected to create 140 skilled jobs by 2028, according to a press release.

The inauguration was attended by Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour, Safran Aerosystems President Sébastien Weber, Safran Aerosystems France President and Fluid & Fuel Systems Division head Joël Berkoukchi, Safran Aerosystems Maroc Managing Director Siham Dahouk, and French Consul General in Rabat Olivier Ramadour.

Operating for more than 17 years in the Aïn Johra Industrial Park, the site employs over 290 highly qualified staff and has become a key link in the global aerospace supply chain. It manufactures electronic and mechanical equipment and, following Safran's acquisition of Zodiac Aerospace in 2018, expanded its production to include high-performance piping, oxygen masks, evacuation slide protective covers and life jackets.

The expansion will add new high-value industrial activities and strengthen the site's production and innovation capacity, reinforcing Morocco's position as a high-tech industrial hub for the aerospace sector.

«The project reflects the shared commitment of the Kingdom and Safran Group to growth, innovation and industrial excellence», Mezzour said, adding that it will help strengthen Morocco's competitiveness and accelerate the development of the national aerospace ecosystem.
