German champions Bayern Munich announced on Wednesday the signing of Morocco international Ismael Saibari from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, unveiling the move with a video of the midfielder speaking from New York, where he is currently with the Atlas Lions at the 2026 World Cup.

«Servus Bayern fans, this is Ismael, greetings from New York City. I'm very happy to sign for this club and I'll see you soon in the Allianz Arena», Saibari said in the video shared to X by the club.

While Bayern did not disclose the transfer fee, media reports cited by Reuters valued the deal at up to €55 million. The 25-year-old will join the Bundesliga side after Morocco's World Cup campaign.

Saibari joined PSV from Belgian club Genk in 2020 and scored 42 goals in 142 appearances, including 15 Eredivisie goals last season as PSV claimed a third consecutive league title.

The Moroccan international has also been one of the Atlas Lions' standout performers at the World Cup, scoring against Scotland and Haiti, before converting the winning penalty in Morocco's shootout victory over the Netherlands in the Round of 32.
