Authorities in Rotterdam will close several streets in the city center on Saturday ahead of Morocco's Round of 16 World Cup match against Canada, anticipating large crowds of supporters following the Atlas Lions' recent victory over the Netherlands.

According to the municipality, Coolsingel, Karel Doormanstraat, Eendrachtsplein, Mauritsweg, Stationsplein, Kruisplein, and the upper route along Weena will be closed from 8 p.m. The West-Kruiskade and 1st Middellandstraat will also be shut, while the Kruiskade will close from 7 p.m. under existing measures to curb anti-social behavior. The Weena Tunnel and parking garages will remain accessible.

The additional restrictions come after thousands of Morocco supporters celebrated Tuesday's victory over the Netherlands in Rotterdam's streets, prompting police to intervene after about 90 minutes. Four people were arrested during the celebrations, according to local media.
