The Moroccan Association for Human Rights in Nador, alongside the Border Resistance collective, has reported the tragic death of two sub-Saharan migrants who perished while attempting to reach Ceuta via paraglider.
According to these organizations, one victim has been identified as Mohamed Saif al-Din Moussa Douma, a Sudanese asylum seeker from South Darfur, born in 1999. This information is supported by identification documents and testimonies from his companions.
El Faro de Ceuta reports that the two young men fell in the Jebel Musa area two days ago while trying to cross into Ceuta using a paraglider.
There has been a noticeable increase in such attempts in recent months. The first recorded instance of crossing into Ceuta with a paraglider occurred on October 3, 2025, with several similar attempts following.
