Morocco : The Ministry of Tourism launches a social media campaign to promote sustainable tourism

The Ministry of Tourism has collaborated with the globetrotter couple Amal and Anass Yakine to launch a social media campaign that promotes the best sustainable tourism initiatives.

The project entitled #voyagedurable (sustainable travelling) was brought by the Ministry of Tourism in order to celebrate the international year of sustainable tourism for development. The campaign that aims to raise awareness among people and make them understand the concept of sustainable tourism in the kingdom.

The Moroccan globetrotters, who have widely crossed all of Chefchaouen, Dakhla, Aoufous, Nkob, Ouarzazate and Marrakesh and met actors of the tourism field in the country, are nominated to win the 7th edition of Morocco’s sustainable tourism trophy for discovering the benefits of the local businesses and their contribution to the tourism field. 

In this regard, the so fond of travelling couple have been featured in a set of videos published on social media and on the ministry’s channel on Youtube with a bunch of associations that develop a responsible and environment friendly tourism.  

First published on December 2016, the campaign #voyagedurable invites people inside and outside Morocco to discover these initiatives that are committed to promote a model of tourism that is responsible and sustainable in the kingdom.
