Rabat is hosting today the 20th of March, the 24th conference of the Arab-Parliamentary Union. The conference is supposed to be attended by several Arab parliamentary representatives to develop a new working plan for the union and elect a new leader.

The two-day conference will discuss the promotion of the regional and international activities of the participating countries. It will also discuss the union’s former projects and study their effeciency.

The Arab Inter-parliamentary Union though, is an organization that was first founded in 1974 to assemble the parliamentary bodies of the Arab World and make them collaborate. The union holds every spring a conference to study and solve the problems and challenges encountered in the region. It is also an opportunity to exchange expertise.
