Hirak : El Mortada Iamrachen sentenced to 5 years in prison

The counter-terrorism court in Sale has sentenced El Mortada Iamrachen, an activist and member of the Hirak popular movement, to five years in prison on Thursday, 30th of December, for the incitement of terrorism.

Al-Mortada who was released provisionally in July by the court after his father passed away, was arrested during the hearing.

The former Salafi and leading figure of the Hirak was arrested the first time on the 10th of June in Al Hoceima and transferred to later to Rabat.
