Sahara : Colin Stewart officially appointed head of the MINURSO

It's official now. Colin Stewart is the new MINURSO leader. The United Nation Secretary-General appointed the Canadian to succeed his compatriot Kim Buldoc.

In a statement issued by the international organization, Colin's appointment was announced praising the UN official's «leadership». «With over than 25 years of experience in peace, security and international issues», stated the United Nations.

For the record, Morocco maintains its reservations concerning the the new head of the mission.
