Polisario’s representative at UN Ahmed Boukhari passes away

Ahmed Boukhari, Polisario representative at the UN, died Tuesday in a clinic in Bilbao, Spain. His death was confirmed by the Saharawi news agency that also «decreed an official mourning of 7 days, starting on April 4» in the Tindouf camps.

Ahmed Boukhari - same as Mhamed Khaddad - had managed to hold a position in New York, despite the changes that affected the leadership of the Front.

He is also the brother of Haj Ahmed, a former «minister» appointed by Mohamed Abdelaziz, and currently the coordinator of the Saharawi initiative for change, an opposition body in the camps.
