The Spanish court sentenced ten members of a cell affiliated with the terrorist organization "Daesh" to eight to twelve years in prison, on Wednesday. "They planned to commit attacks in Barcelona or a filmed execution", said AFP.

Among the convicts are five Moroccans, four Spanish and one Brazilian. The judgment issued by the National court, specialized in cases of terrorism says that the members of this cell were "willing to carry out, at any time, an attack against institutions such as the police, banks or Jewish bodies in Spain, or to join the ranks of Daesh", indicated the same source.

The ten men were sentenced for "being part of a terrorist organization". Their cell was established in Terrassa, near Barcelona, under the name of "Islamic Brotherhood, Group for the preaching of jihad". The three brains of the group are sentenced to 12 years in prison, while the other seven defendants were sentenced to eight years.
