Morocco's Amine Harit joins Schalke after the fatal car accident

Moroccan football player Amine Harit is back in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) after the Marrakech deadly car accident. Harit managed to join his team, Schalke 04 FC, but reportedly did not participate to a training session held Monday, 16th of July.

According to German online newspaper WDR, the 21-year-old player, did an individual performance diagnosis at first then spoke to the club’s leaders.

Christian Heidel, the sports director of the Schalke 04 football club, advised Amine Harit not to speak to media. "He gave a good impression, but it should not be forgotten that the incident that he has been through is not an easy one, it's a tragedy. We are going to give him all the help he needs", he adds. Furthermore, the same source stressed that the footballer" is not forced to return to Morocco in order to attend a hearing".

Harit was involved in a fatal car accident, on June the 29th, in Marrakech, where he hit a 28-year-old pedestrian. The city's first instance court, has decided to postpone the hearing until the 29th of July.

The decision was made to allow the insurance company to handle compensation procedures.
