After a crisis that lasted for weeks, in the middle of the holiday season, Morocco's national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and the Moroccan Pilots Association (AMPL) have managed to reach a common ground, announced a communiqué sent Tuesday, 14th of August, to Yabiladi.

In their joint statement, RAM and AMPL stressed that they have finally concluded an agreement, tackling issues related to the situation and working conditions of the company's pilots.

RAM and AMPL indicated that they are determined to «collaborate and work together to improve the services offered to the company's clients and passengers», says the same communiqué.

For the record, RAM and AMPL which represents pilots working for the company, were not on good terms for the last few weeks. The crisis have led to the cancellation of several flights in the middle of the Marhaba Operation, which welcomes thousands of Moroccans living abroad.

The company's pilots were complaining about their working conditions and about the fact that they had to work more than their contracted hours. They urged the firm to better their situation, reevaluate their salaries and employ more pilots.

As a response, RAM treated AMPL's actions as a strike, which the body categorically refused.
