Minister Delegate to the Head of Government for the Reform of Administration and Public Service, Mohamed Benabdelkader stressed Tuesday in Rabat, that maintaining summer time will depend on its evaluation, which will take place from the period between November 2018 and April 2019.

Asked in the House of Councilors about GMT+1, the Minister pointed out that maintaining the plan is «not a definitive decision and that it aims to achieve stability and not establish a new time zone for the Kingdom».

He also noted that evaluating the project will be done during the winter time to see how Moroccans will adapt to it.

Benabdelkader also said that the decision to adopt summer time is based on the results of a «thorough and scientific» study conducted by the ministry, under the supervision of the head of the government.
