Fifteen Moroccan nationals arrested in Italy in an anti-drug raid

Fifteen Moroccan nationals were arrested, Monday, during an anti-drug raid led by the Carabinieri di Avezzano, in Eastern Rome.

The suspects are accused of drug trafficking, reports Italian online newspapers Qui Quotidiano and Corriere Quotidiano.

The operation took place following investigations that allowed the Carabinieri to arrest three of these individuals in a vehicle. These three people were selling cocaine to young people between Avezzano and Luco dei Marsi, according to the same sources. The others were reportedly arrested after this first arrest.

Those arrested were sentenced to house arrest and / or to prison sentences at the Avezzano detention center.
