Last night, Quatari channel Al Jazeera broadcast an interesting coverage of the speech of King Mohammed VI at the first Arab-European Union summit, held on the 24th and 25th of February in Egypt.

The channel chose to quote some parts from the royal message, read Monday by Prime Minister Saadeddine El Othmani, that go hand in hand with Qatar’s foreign policy.

«Security and stability in the Arab world are threatened by the perilous challenges sometimes generated by the policies and behavior of some of its countries towards others. We strongly recall that adhering to the principles of good neighborliness, respecting the national sovereignty of States and their territorial integrity, refraining from interfering in their internal affairs and, will eliminate this threat».

Al Jazeera obviously felt that the message was addressing the states that cut diplomatic ties with Qatar in May 2017.

The channel quoted the sovereign's call for «security of the Arab nation (which) must remain a strictly Arab affair, away from external interference».
