The Moroccan government refuses to comment on the Algerian «Hirak»

Officially, the Moroccan government has not commented yet on the protests taking place in Algeria.

On Wednesday afternoon, Morocco's Government Spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi, and during a press briefing held in Rabat, refused to answer questions related to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s 5th term. «I refuse to answer these questions», El Khalfi told reporters on Thursday.

In Algeria, officials accuse the country’s enemies of fueling the anger that fills the streets. On February the 13th, Algeria’s Deputy Minister of Defense Gaid warned Algerians «against the country’s enemies» who, accoridng to him, are a threat to the country's stability and security.

On March the 6th, he reiterated his warning, stressing that his country «is targeted by enemies», referring to Morocco.
