Morocco is preparing for the second round-table on Western Sahara, to be held on the 21st and 22nd of March in Geneva.

«Presidents of the Laayoune-Saguia Al Hamra regions, Sidi Ould Errechid and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Ynja Khattat were reportedly summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to attend a meeting in Rabat to prepare for the second round-table with Horst Köhler and representatives from Algeria, Mauritania and the Polisario», a well-informed source told Yabiladi.

This meeting comes as the Kingdom «has not informed the UN personal envoy yet about its agreement on the date announced by the Algerian Press agency», the same source said, adding that «the Polisario was the first party to announce that it is participating on March the 21st and 22nd to the meeting in Geneva».

For the record, the United Nations Security Council revealed, March the 1st, the Provisional Program of Work for April 2019. During this month, members of the Security Council will hold four sessions on the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), which will have its six-month mandate extended.

In February, representatives from Morocco met Horst Köhler in Paris. On March the 4th and the 5th, it was Polisario's turn to go to Berlin to held talks with the former German President.
