Jawad Bendaoud was finally sentenced by the Paris Appeal Court to one year in prison, French daily Le Figaro reported on Wednesday.
Known for having sheltered the two terrorists who led the November 13, 2015 terror attacks in Paris, Jawad Bendaouad was tried in another case and charged for death threats.
He reportedly threatened Sarah Z., a victim of the attacks, in the corridors of the courthouse when she had just testified against him for «being aware of the attackers’ whereabouts and not informing authorities».
The 31-year-old man, also known as the «Daesh landlord», will be sentenced on Friday. He faces up to six years in prison for sheltering the two terrorists on November 13, the same source said.
For the record, Jawad Bendaoud was arrested on November 18, 2015, shortly after police raided the building where he lived, where he hosted the jihadists Abdelhamid Abaaoud and Chakib Akrouh.
The landlord had explained to journalists from AFP and BFM TV, that he did not know they were terrorists.
