The Casablanca Appeals court upholds prison sentences against Hirak detainees

The Casablanca Appeals court upheld, Friday, prison sentences against Hirak activists, reports MAP news agency.

For the record, sentences ranging from 20 years to one year in prison were handed down on June the 26th, 2018, by the same court to Hirak detainees, including Nasser Zefzafi.

For example, one accused was given a one-year suspended prison sentence, while 12 defendants were sentenced to 2 years in prison and seven others to 3 years in prison.

Seven people involved in the Al Hoceima protests were sentenced to five years in prison, while six others were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The court also sentenced 15 defendants to jail for 15 years and sentenced 4 others to 20 years in prison.
