Moroccan authorities have handed over a Russian national, who is suspected of being a terrorist, to the Russian authorities, press agency TASS reported, quoting the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
The Russian prosecutor’s office has announced the extradition of the Russian national, who joined ISIS in 2016.
The suspect «spread extremist ideology in the Republic of Dagestan (a Russian republic)» where he used to live, the same source revealed. The man in question was planning to «settle down in Casablanca», before the Moroccan authorities responded to an extradition request submitted by Russia.
On Friday, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and Interpol proceeded with his extradition.
