Moroccans are among the angriest populations in the world, according to a report conducted by American analytics and advisory company Gallup.

According to the Gallup 2019 Global Emotions Report, «more than four in 10 residents in Morocco (…) said they were angry a lot the previous day».

Based on ten questions, the report gave an overview of the angriest and most stressed populations in the world. Moroccans, for example, are ranked 11th in a list that includes countries with the highest negative experiences worldwide.

The list is topped by Chad, Niger, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Iran, Benin and Liberia. In the same list, Morocco is ranked behind Guinea, Palestine and Congo and ahead of Togo and Uganda.

Globally, 71% of the people who responded to Gallup’s questions said that they had felt joyful the previous day, 72% said they had felt rested, 74% said they had smiled while 87% reported that they had been treated with respect.

Moreover, respondents from African countries were the angriest and most stressed in the world, according to the same report which interviewed more than 151,000 people in over 140 countries in 2018.
