The Guardia Civil arrested a Moroccan national and a Spanish man, aged 38 and 52, suspected of being behind the plantation of cannabis in a field that grows water melons in the municipality of Javier in Murcia, local news outlet Murcia Today reported on Tuesday.

The same source said that the Guardia Civil discovered 850 cannabis plants, grown next to legitimate melon crop. The arrest took place after authorities in Spain opened an investigation in April in the fields in the municipality aforementioned.

Authorities seized 400 grams of marijuana in a house they raided to arrest the two suspects.
