Piovan, an Italian company that supplies ancillary equipment, engineered solutions and services to the plastics industry, is opening a commercial branch in Morocco. After opening an office in Algeria and South Africa, the company is having a third one in Africa through its Morocco facility, Italian newspaper Milano Finanza reported Tuesday.
The objective of this new facility is to set a foot in the African continent and strengthen the North African presence of the Italian firm, the same source said.
«Morocco is a country that has an interesting industry», Piovan CEO Filippo Zuppichin said. «Being present in the country is meant to better develop our strategy», he added.
Piovan’s Moroccan branch will be led by Moroccan-Italian engineer Nourddine Essajidi. For the record, Moroccan customers, before the opening of Piovan’s Moroccan branch, were directed to the Maghreb office, based in Algiers and created in 2016.
