A British aviation business to provide Morocco with helicopter pilots

British global aviation business Helispeed has signed a 12-month agreement with Morocco’s Heliconia Aero Solutions to provide the company with qualified helicopter pilots.

In a press release, relayed by Vertical magazine, Helispeed announced that this agreement will allow the Moroccan firm to choose from its database of over 800 highly-trained and vetted pilots.

The Moroccan company, headquartered in Marrakech, will be relying on its Helispeed-provided pilots in Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal to deliver services, including offshore transportation, aerial surveying and VIP transport.

«This agreement will allow Heliconia Aero Solutions to continue its fantastic work in a seamless manner, with the reassurance that our highly-trained and professional pilots will be provided quickly and at short notice, for both their short- and long-term operations», Helispeed operations director Gemma Walker said.

«We vet all of our pilots, ensuring they have the right experience in flying and navigating the specific aircraft provided. We also take care of the administrative, HR and logistical tasks associated with placing pilots, making life easier for operators», Walker added.

For the record, Helispeed is based at Blackpool Airport and partners with commercial operators, government agencies and maintenance organizations.
